Engineering
- Engineers are getting some new vanity items in 5.4!
- On the PTR, any mob in Vale of Eternal Blossoms can drop
Schematic: Chief Engineer Jard's Journal. This is smart loot, meaning that it will only drop for eligible Engineers.
- This contains recipes for
Jard's Peculiar Energy Source,
Not Sky Claw,
Advanced Refrigeration Unit,
Pierre, and
Rascal-Bot.
Jard's Peculiar Energy Source can only be crafted once a day and requires 10
Ghost Iron Bar.
Not Sky Claw was originally called the Skyclaw back in 5.2, so it may be reusing an item ID and changing completely due to the different name and "teaches you how to ride the PH." It takes 30

Living Steel to craft.
Advanced Refrigeration Unit is a huge cooking bag, originally intended for 5.2. It takes 5

Pierre is a battle pet intended for 5.2--many players were sad when this didn't make it to live since it has adorable animations and doubles as a cooking fire. It takes 15

Blacksmithing
- Blacksmiths can make
Balanced Trillium Ingot, learnt from
Plans: Balanced Trillium Ingot and Its Uses. It can be made once a day and requires a
Trillium Bar.
- So far, spell data shows that
Balanced Trillium Ingot is required for ilvl 541 belts and legs, with the temporary name "PH."
- Based on the tooltip's flavor text, it appears that players can learn entry-level Season 14 PvP recipes when making
Balanced Trillium Ingot, similar to how making
Lightning Steel Ingot taught players ilvl 458 Season 13 gear. The 5.4 Season 14 recipes are ilvl 476.
Enchanting
- Enchants are getting some new scaling tech in 5.4. Their item level requirement is going away in 5.4--this is also true for enhancements provided by other professions like
Lightweave Embroidery.
- As a result, all enchantments can now be put on heirloom items.
- High level enhancements will scale down when placed on a low level item.
- Low level enhancements do not scale up when placed on a high level item.
Leatherworking
- Leatherworkers can make
Hardened Magnificent Hide, learnt from
Pattern: Hardened Magnificent Hide and Its Uses. It can be made once a day and requires 2
Magnificent Hide.

Hardened Magnificent Hide is required for ilvl 541 belts and legs.

Cooking
No word on the sources for these yet, but there's 5.4 data for various Noodle Carts that require large amounts of food to make.
